A very complex wine from the Perrin family, the 2012 Carbonnieux has dense ruby/purple color, notes of grilled meats, blackcurrants, sweet cherries, graphite and spice. It is medium to full-bodied, elegant, very pure with supple tannins. This can be drunk in a few years, but promises to age impressively for 12-20 years. RP/91

Features a racy edge, with pastis and graphite notes coursing underneath the plum sauce and blackberry coulis flavors. Shows ample toast along the edges and through the finish, but displays good energy overall and should harmonize fully soon enough. Best from 2016 through 2022. WS/90

This wine is dry, full of tannins and dark fruits. It is weighty, structured and ready for the long term with its acidity, dry tannins, dense structure and intense black currant fruits. Drink this mineral-textured wine from 2020. WE/91

his is a stoney and powerful white with chalk, sliced apple and green pear aromas and flavors. Full body and a dense finish. Very racy and salty. Drink or hold. JS/92
